By Bob Unruh, WND - An archived article from 2004 on Barack Obama’s run for the U.S. Senate in Illinois describes the relative political newcomer as “Kenyan-born,” providing further fuel for speculation over the president’s eligibilty for office.

WND has noted various news reports that have either stated or implied Obama’s birthplace is not Hawaii, as he has claimed, but Africa.

The issue is significant, since there are a number of lawsuits challenging Obama’s eligibility that argue if he was not born in the U.S., he does not meet the requirement in the Constitution that the president be a “natural born” citizen.

WND further has reported on the disagreement among those documenting Obama’s presidency over which Hawaii hospital was his birth place.

Now have come a flood of blog questions and e-mails regarding the apparently archived article from the Sunday Standard in Kenya.

The report starts out, “Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack (sic) Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.”

The report continues to discuss the allegations against Ryan, Obama’s opponent in his race for the U.S. Senate, and his decision to drop out, virtually handing the Senate seat to the political newcomer.

The article is credited to the wire service Associated Press at the bottom of the page. However, the article could not be found either in the AP archives available to the public online or the archive on the newspaper’s website. WND telephone calls and e-mails to the newspaper did not generate a response.

At the Post & Email blog, writer John Charlton offered several explanations, including the suggestion references to Obama’s birth have been scrubbed.

He wrote that a search of Google for the issue produced unusual results.

“When you attempt to search for ‘Kenyan-born Obama’; results are missing; years prior to 2004 seem scrubbed; and when you click a link to an article in 2000, you get an article in 2004.

“Deliberate sabotage of their own news archive?” he wondered.

He said searching Google for the reference words “Kenyan-born U.S. Senator Obama hopeful…” came up with a 1981 New York times reference, but Obama is not in the article.

“There is no mention of Obama from 1981 to 2000; despite all his ‘work with the poor’ in Chicago,” Charlton continued.

The June 27, 2004, article from the Standard doesn’t appear.

A further link to PBS leads to a story about Obama’s Senate victory, another to USA Today talks about Obama’s father being Kenyan-born and another from 2004 does the same.

“Then, you would not believe it; but all the newspapers in the world, during the period from Jan. 1, 2005 to April 12, 2006, don’t make one mention of Obama! Not even one,” he said.

The bottom line, however, Charlton wrote, should not be what published reports have said, but what proof Obama can provide.

“If Obama cannot show documents which prove he is born in the USA; the mere fact that he has claimed to be born overseas and in the U.S.A.; first at one hospital in Hawaii and then at another; means that nothing he says in court, and no document presented by his campaign could be taken as prima facie evidence of anything.”

Earlier this year, an African news site and an MSNBC broadcaster delivered references to President Obama’s birthplace as being outside of the United States, even as a controversy had developed over a letter purporting to be from the president claiming Kapi’olani hospital in Honolulu as his birth location.

Network correspondent Mara Schiavocampo was reporting on the celebratory atmosphere in Accra, Ghana, immediately prior to Obama’s visit to the west African nation.

Interviewing a person who appeared to be a shop operator, she suggested, “Barack Obama is Kenyan … but Ghanaians are still proud of him.”

Her report talks about the party atmosphere and the Obama fan clubs who has posted “Welcome home” signs.

Meanwhile, a report at Modern Ghana also posted in advance of the president’s visit cited his birthplace on the continent of Africa.

“For Ghana, Obama’s visit will be a celebration of another milestone in African history as it hosts the first-ever African-American president on this presidential visit to the continent of his birth,” the report said.

The Modern Ghana report also cited the expectations that Obama would make a foreign policy pronouncement during his visit.

Kenya’s East African Standard also, in an Aug. 24, 2006, article titled “From Young ‘Barry’ to Top American Senator,” previously said of Obama: “The Harvard Law School and Columbia University graduate was born at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Honolulu in Hawaii, where his parents were studying at the East-West Centre of the University of Hawaii in Manoa.”

WND also reported, Obama’s half-sister, Maya Soetoro, claimed Obama was born in Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, a testimony reported as fact by several news sources and the myth-busting site Snopes.com.

But after WND drew attention to a letter from the president declaring as his birthplace the Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu instead, news sources and websites jumped to scrub the Queens location and replace it with Kapi’olani.

As WND reported, the White House insists Obama was born in Hawaii but has thus far refused to verify which hospital the president claims as his birthplace or whether the letter – purportedly from President Obama claiming Kapi’olani – is, in fact, real.

The lawsuits over Obama’s eligibility continue in several parts of the country, and in fact a California federal judge has scheduled a trial on the dispute to begin in January.

WND has reported on dozens of legal challenges to Obama’s status as a “natural born citizen.” The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, “No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.”

Some of the lawsuits question whether he was actually born in Hawaii, as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama’s American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time.

Other challenges have focused on Obama’s citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born.

Complicating the situation is Obama’s decision to spend sums exceeding $1 million to avoid releasing an original long-form state birth certificate that would put to rest the questions.

WND also has reported that among the documentation not yet available for Obama includes his kindergarten records, Punahou school records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, Columbia thesis, Harvard Law School records, Harvard Law Review articles, scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, passport, medical records, files from his years as an Illinois state senator, his Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records and his adoption records.

Because of the dearth of information about Obama’s eligibility, WND founder Joseph Farah has launched a campaign to raise contributions to post billboards asking a simple question: “Where’s the birth certificate?”

The campaign followed a petition that has collected more than 475,000 signatures demanding proof of his eligibility, the availability of yard signs raising the question and the production of permanent, detachable magnetic bumper stickers asking the question.

The “certification of live birth” posted online and widely touted as “Obama’s birth certificate” does not in any way prove he was born in Hawaii, since the same “short-form” document is easily obtainable for children not born in Hawaii. The true “long-form” birth certificate – which includes information such as the name of the birth hospital and attending physician – is the only document that can prove Obama was born in Hawaii, but to date he has not permitted its release for public or press scrutiny.

Oddly, though congressional hearings were held to determine whether Sen. John McCain was constitutionally eligible to be president as a “natural born citizen,” no controlling legal authority ever sought to verify Obama’s claim to a Hawaiian birth.

She currently is representing approx. 170 military members including commissioned officers in a lawsuit to force Barrack Obama to produce his birth cirtificate, proving that he is eligible to hold the position of Presiden

First, we did a story about an Army Major who filed suit regarding his deployment to Afghanistan on the grounds that Obama was not America’s legitimate Commander-In Chief.

Then we did an article pointing out the differences between a Birth Cerificate and a Certification Of Live Birth.

Some of the biggest names in conservative news have weighed in on this topic, such as Michelle Malkin, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and numerous others have offered their opinions.

One of the people at the forefront of this issue is Joseph Farah and his staff over at World Net Daily.

They are even running an online petition demanding Obama produce a long-form birth certificate.

Thanks to the alertness of our great friend and loyal supporter Erica, who gave us the heads-up on this.  it appears that the issue of Obama being forced to produce a copy of his birth certificate may prove to be extremely difficult, if not impossible.

On January 21st, 2009, his very first day in office, Barack Obama implemented and signed into law Executive Order 13489.

For those of you who can’t take the time to read it. here is the section that applies:

“Sec.2

Notice Of Intent To Disclose Presidential Records

When the Archivist provides notice to the incumbent and former Presidents of his intent to disclose Presidential records  pursuant to section 1270.46 of the NARA regulations, the Archivist, using any guidelines providied by the incumbent and former Presidents, shall identify any specific materials, the disclosure of which he believes may raise a substantial question of executive privilege.”

Now for all of you who commented on our previous articles that we were no more that right-wing nut jobs, that this thing about Obama’s birth certificate was a non-issue, and those of you who tried to shift the focus of the stories, doesn’t this strike you as just a little odd?

That the first order of business Obama took care of on day one of his Presidency was to sign off on an Executive Order that states that only the records he chooses to be made public will be released?

This is the subject that was at the absolute top of his agenda?

If this isn’t proof that Obama is hiding something, I don’t know what is.

U.S. Army Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook, set to deploy to Afghanistan, says he shouldn’t have to go.

His reason?

Barack Obama was never eligible to be president because he wasn’t born in the United States.

Cook’s lawyer, Orly Taitz, who has also challenged the legitimacy of Obama’s presidency in other courts, filed a request last week in federal court seeking a temporary restraining order and status as a conscientious objector for her client.

In the 20-page document — filed July 8 with the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia — the California-based Taitz asks the court to consider granting his client’s request based upon Cook’s belief that Obama is not a natural-born citizen of the United States and is therefore ineligible to serve as commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Cook further states he “would be acting in violation of international law by engaging in military actions outside the United States under this President’s command. … simultaneously subjecting himself to possible prosecution as a war criminal by the faithful execution of these duties.”

Cook, a reservist, received the orders mobilizing him to active duty on June 9.

According to this document, which accompanies Cook’s July 8 application for a temporary restraining order, he has been ordered to report to MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla., on Wednesday. From there, the Florida resident would go to Fort Benning before deploying overseas.

Documents show Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961, two years after it became a state.

A hearing to discuss Cook’s requests will take place in federal court here Thursday at 9:30 a.m.

The dozens upon dozens of deaths of people who knew or were involved with (positive or negative) under the Clinton dictatorship still remains a stunning thing in my mind.

As I have said many times, we do not know what the government is investigating until something happens, i.e., Patrick Fitzgerald holds a press conference on the investigation into a sitting governor (Blago), etc. That investigation was three years long at that point and no one knew about it.

I believe the young homosexual man, Donald Young, the Choirmaster at Obama’s ‘old’ church, was murdered to shut him up about Obama being bi-sexual.

Now, this. Just a random killing or did Lt. Harris know something else that signed his death warrant? He’s identified as a Lt. I can’t find anything other than this one story right now, so

Key Witness In Passport Fraud Case Fatally Shot

A key witness in a federal probe into passport information stolen from the State Department was fatally shot in front of a District church, the Metropolitan Police Department said yesterday.

Lt. Quarles Harris Jr., 24, who had been cooperating with a federal investigators, was found late Thursday night slumped dead inside a car, in front of the Judah House Praise Baptist Church in Northeast, said Cmdr. Michael Anzallo, head of the department’s Criminal Investigations Division.

Cmdr. Anzallo said a police officer was patrolling the neighborhood when gunshots were heard, then Lt. Harris was found dead inside the vehicle, which investigators would describe only as a blue car.

Emergency medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

City police said they do not know whether his death was a direct result of his cooperation with federal investigators.

“We don’t have any information right now that connects his murder to that case,” Cmdr. Anzallo said.

Police say a “shot spotter” device helped an officer locate Lt. Harris.

A State Department spokeswoman yesterday declined to comment, saying the investigation into the passport fraud is ongoing.

The Washington Times reported April 5 that contractors for the State Department had improperly accessed passport information for presidential candidates Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama and John McCain, which resulted in a series of firings that reached into the agency’s top ranks.

One agency employee, who was not identified in documents filed in U.S. District Court, was implicated in a credit-card fraud scheme after Lt. Harris told federal authorities he obtained “passport information from a co-conspirator who works for the U.S. Department of State.”

America’s defender… or destroyer

Bob Kemp - Millions of people, not limited to just Americans, are asking this question. Who is this man? Where did he come from? And, where is he taking the United States? Too many questions, and not enough answers. Truly the man is a mystery, an enigma. He is a contradiction at multiple levels, and for someone that claims his administration will be one of transparency and accountability, all this make him a paradox.

Obama suddenly burst on the conscience of America less than four years ago, and more recently the world. Before that, he was a little-known state Senator from the Midwest. Prior to that he had worked in Chicago as a local neighborhood organizer, where he caught the attention of questionable people with his ability to speak well, convey an air of confidence, and get things done in the local community.

If you trace his origins back even further, the mysteries surrounding Obama increase dramatically. As you attempt to pull back the veil and peer behind it, you will be met by a complete darkness that seems to have a life of its own. This living darkness guards its secrets very well, muting any attempt to shine light into it.

Obama’s birth is where the mystery begins with his determination to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to hide his birth location, rather than simply produce the document in question. By producing the original, unmolested and unaltered birth certificate, he could, if he is a natural born citizen, in one hour, silence those that question his natural born status and throw dozens of lawsuits out the window. Yet he chooses to ignore the increased attention to this subject, only adding more doubt about who he is and where he came from. We know the governor’s office in Hawaii said there is a valid certificate but has rejected every request for access & left the origin of the ambiguous. We also know that the state of Hawaii has issued birth certificates for people that were never born in Hawaii! Where is the transparency? Where is the accountability? Why does his Kenyan grandmother Sara, insist she was present at his birth if she was not? Why has his half-sister Maya Soetoro named two different Hawaii hospitals as Obama’s place of birth? Maybe it’s because Obama himself is not certain of his birth date. While in Selma, Alabama he claimed that he was born in 1965, not 1961. Oh, the tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive.

What little we do know about Obama only raises more questions about his eligibility to legally and constitutionally serve as President of the United States. He moved around a lot as a child. We know he scarcely knew his biological father, who left him and his mother when Obama was only two years old. After his mother remarried, we know he lived abroad and attended school in Indonesia, a country that requires its students to be citizens of that country, and does not allow dual citizenship. So this raises the possibility that his mother gave up his U.S. citizenship. If she did surrender her son’s U.S. citizenship, then to regain it at some point in the future would have meant he would classified as a “naturalized” citizen, not a “natural-born” citizen. We know that if Obama’s mother had surrendered his U.S. citizenship that she would not have been able to comply with federal law to regain his U.S. citizenship because she herself was too young.

We know that in 1981 Obama traveled to Indonesia, Pakistan, Southern India and Kenya in. Obama stated he went to Indonesia to visit his mother. But his mother returned to Hawaii in 1980 to divorce Obama’s step-father! Did she return to Indonesia after receiving the divorce from Lolo Soetoro? There is no record that she did. We know there is no record of a passport having been issued for Obama prior to the one he received after becoming a U.S. Senator. We know that in 1981, Pakistan was in turmoil and under martial law. The U.S. State Department had also placed a ban on travel to Pakistan for U.S. Citizen’s. Did Obama illegally travel to Pakistan in 1981 as a U.S. citizen, or did he travel there under a passport issued to him from Indonesia?

Obama wants to unify America, yet he was the MOST liberal of the 100 U.S. Senators as rated by National Journal. His uncompromising stand on abortion makes it impossible for anyone that is pro-life to reach common ground with him on the issue. To be a Christian and believe in the sanctity of life, yet at the same time to not only support Roe v. Wade, but issue Executive Orders to fund abortion overseas with tax payer money and continue to push the Freedom of Choice Act makes Obama a confusing paradox. So I question his Christianity. The God of the Bible always chooses life over death, and is very specific about protecting those unable to protect themselves, the very young, and the aged. Obama’s socialistic views on government and the rights of the people will continue to be a source of contention between him and conservatives. The only compromise he seems to be capable of to date is the compromise others must make toward his policies. On these and many other issues his attitude is more akin to arrogant master of the people rather than humble servant of the people. Proverbs 15:25 tells us, “The Lord tears down the proud man’s house,” and Proverbs 16:18 tells us “Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. ”

Obama has stated that he is a Professor of Law and a Constitutional lawyer. Yet, we know that he was actually a Senior Lecturer on leave. Where does his confusion come from? Obama seems confused also on his own voting record. He just can’t seem to remember exactly how he voted as a Senator from Illinois on a number of issues. He seems confused on passing 900 bills as a State Senator. He actually passed 26, and most of those he did not write himself, but were written by a fellow Senator to assist Obama in a bid for higher office. Do we truly know who Obama is? Do we see and hear the real Obama, or the Obama he wants us to see and hear? Does he provide transparency and accountability, or just talk a good talk?

People are known by the company they keep. Responsible people stay away from people that will teach them bad habits. Responsible people avoid people that have a history of making bad decisions, especially when those bad decisions bring unwanted results and penalties. Responsible people stay away from trouble and trouble makers and those that practice dishonesty and other forms of evil. 1 Corinthians15:33 reminds us that, “Bad company corrupts good character.” So why does Obama, a professing Christian, keep company with people with questionable reputations and activities. Why does Obama surround himself with people that seem to all share anti-American, Socialist/Marxist thoughts and plans for America? People like William Ayers who was a one-time member of a terrorist cell known as the Weathermen. Ayres was personally responsible for exploding bombs on U.S. soil, which resulted in the death of innocent people. He is still an active ardent Marxist. He and Obama used to pal around together pushing their radical reform of American education, which promotes a Socialist/Marxist worldview. In 1997 Obama gave an endorsement of William Ayers book A Kind and Just Parent, which praises the Marxist book as “a searing and timely account of the juvenile court system.” There is also evidence that Ayres either edited or co-wrote Obama’s Dreams book.

Then there is Obama’s association with Tony Rezko, a Chicago developer who took out loans to renovate low income housing. He is under investigation because millions of dollars in loans is gone, yet the properties remain unrenovated. And what about Obama’s Chicago home actually being titled to Tony Rezko’s attorney William Miceli, not Barack Obama? I’m looking for the transparency and accountability, but it is obscured by all the mud.

The Rev Jeremiah Wright, Sr. Pastor of the Chicago Trinity United Christian Church, in whose pews Obama sat for 20 years, is a radical and militant supporter and promoter of Black Liberation Theology. From the pulpit, Rev. Wright spews vial and profane words as he delivers his anti-American sermons. Black Liberation Theology is an ardent Marxist philosophy, denouncing anything and everything that is American. Yet Obama pleads ignorance of the teachings of Rev. Wright, stating he never heard anything that ordinary Christian’s would object to come from the lips of Rev. Wright. As someone that has been actively involved in church for many years, I can guarantee you that if a pastor stood up in his pulpit and delivered just one anti-American, anti-Christian sermon, or spoke such things to others, he would be out of a job post haste. So Rev. Wright must have the support of his entire church and community; a den of conspirators. Obama wants us to believe, for his own agenda’s sake, that he is a Christian. Trinity United Christian Church may bear the word “Christian” in its name, but it is not a Christian church. Jesus said in Matthew 7:15–16, “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them.”

This is only a partial list for brevity’s sake, but the list is indeed long that ties Obama to radical Muslim’s and Marxist alike. But let us not also forget about those he has chosen to serve on his Cabinet that seem to have a common thread about them; that being the inability to pay their taxes like the rest of hardworking Americans must do. Their names are Timothy Geithner, Nancy Killefer, Thomas Daschle, and Rep. Hilda Solis. You would think that a responsible act of any President would be to privately “interview” the one he is about to name publicly to a post to see if there is anything in their closet that might come out and embarrass everyone later, like, willfully not paying their taxes on time. Of course, Obama seems to just overlook these things and dismiss them without much thought as to the character of people that can’t pay their tax obligation. But I have to ask; if they are dishonest with their tax bill, what else are they hiding? I will say that if this is an example of the “sweeping ethics reforms” Obama promised during his election campaign, America cannot afford it any more than we can afford the trillion plus dollar debt Obama has saddled future generations with.

So I ask again; just who is Barack Hussein Obama? Will his radical Socialist agenda save America from her current turmoil, or be the undoing of her? Will his policies toward America’s enemies and military weaken us to the point that we are unable to defend ourselves against those that seek to destroy us? Is his agenda one that will destroy, or strengthen America from within? Will the American people follow his vision of Socialist reform, or will the independent spirit that forged this great land put an end to his plans? Does his plans seek to seduce us, little by little, until we are only too happy to surrender our God-given rights to the privileged few in exchange for a chicken in every pot, a car in every garage, peace and prosperity at any price? What kind of a track record will the Supreme Court Justices he elects have? Will he seek to repeal or change those amendments to the Constitution that does not agree with his philosophy?

I ask because it seems that, like any good illusionist, he distracts us with keeping our attention on one thing while he creates an illusion of reality he hopes we will all believe, scratch our heads in wonder, and ask how he did that. Is he allowing us to see only a part of what he is actually doing? Is he only showing us as much of himself and his agenda for America as he believes the American people will accept before they completely reject him and call for his impeachment? I think there is more to the man and his plans for America than we are aware of. He isn’t ready to saw Uncle Sam in half before our eyes yet. But when he does it, will we recognize it for what it is? Or, will we say, “it was all an illusion, nothing wrong here. ” Pay attention to what he does and does not do. Therein lies the telling.
